Terms of service
The terms between your organisation and Escudo Ready for use of its products. Last updated 28 October 2026.
These terms apply to this website and the dashboards and apps of Escudo Emergency, Escudo Fleet, Escudo Aviation and Escudo Mining (the Service), provided by Escudo Ready Pty Ltd of Melbourne, Australia (we, us), to the organisation that holds the account (you). Where we have a signed agreement with you, that agreement applies instead wherever the two differ.
1. The Service
The Service lets your people complete vehicle, equipment and site checks on a phone or tablet, records defects, sets the status of vehicles, assets and places and keeps the records. It is a record-keeping tool. It is not approved or certified by any regulator or standards body and does not make anyone compliant with any law. You remain responsible for your vehicles, your people and your procedures. Section 10 adds what applies to each product.
2. Your account and your people
- Keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for what is done under your organisation’s accounts.
- You may invite staff, volunteers and contractors. You are responsible for telling them that their checks, photos, location stamps, tag scans and signatures are recorded, and for having the right to record them.
- You must not use the Service to break the law, to harm anyone, or to try to reach another organisation’s data.
3. Your data
- Your records are yours. We claim no ownership of anything you or your people put into the Service.
- You allow us to store, process and display it as needed to provide the Service, and to use aggregated figures that identify nobody to improve it.
- You can export everything at any time. When the agreement ends we delete your records when you ask, except anything the law requires us to keep.
- We handle personal information as described in the privacy policy.
4. Availability and support
We aim to keep the Service available at all times but cannot promise it. The crew app works with no signal and sends later, so a short outage should not cost a check. Support is by email in business hours, Melbourne time. We give notice of planned maintenance where we can.
5. Fees
Fees are as set out in your order or agreement, or for Escudo Fleet as in section 10. We will not change them during a term you have already paid for.
6. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising from the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period, and neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law or the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (NZ) that cannot be excluded.
7. Ending the agreement
Either of us may end the agreement as set out in your order or agreement. We may suspend access for a serious breach of these terms or if the law requires it, and will give notice where we can. On ending, section 3 applies to your data.
8. Changes
We may change these terms with 30 days’ notice to your organisation’s administrators and a new date on this page.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia. Questions go to info@escudoready.com.
10. Product schedules
Escudo Fleet
- New accounts get a 14-day trial with no card. If you do not choose a plan, the trial ends and no more vehicles can be added until you do. Your records stay.
- Plans are priced per vehicle per month as shown on the Escudo Fleet pricing page, in Australian dollars, excluding GST. Plans are billed annually, in advance. Monthly billing is by agreement with us.
- Your subscription covers the number of vehicles you pay for, at least five. The trial covers up to 25. Adding a vehicle beyond the number paid for means adding vehicles to the subscription from the billing page.
- Card payments are processed by our payment provider under its own terms. If a payment fails we will tell you and retry; after 14 days of non-payment we may suspend the account.
- The account owner can cancel the subscription at any time from the billing page. After cancelling, your records stay and checks keep working, but no more vehicles can be added.
- The quarterly NHVAS statement is a record for your own audit file. It is not a claim that you meet NHVAS or any accreditation.
Escudo Aviation, and ARFF in Escudo Emergency
- Escudo Ready records and routes: it does not certify airworthiness, issue NOTAMs or replace your procedures. The category board is a calculation from the records your people enter and the rules table you confirm. Declaring your category, raising any NOTAM, and deciding whether a vehicle, an aircraft or an aerodrome may be used remain your responsibility under your own procedures.
- Templates start from a representative catalogue. You are responsible for validating each template against your procedures and the manufacturer’s instructions before you publish it.
- The category rules tables are reference tables that we maintain, seeded from published ICAO minimums. You choose the table for each station and are responsible for confirming its figures before relying on the board.
- Prices are as quoted to you, with standard prices on the Escudo Aviation pricing page. Modules shown as in development are not part of the Service until we release them and you add them to your quote.
Escudo Mining, and mine rescue in Escudo Emergency
- The readiness board is a calculation from the records your people enter and the rule pack your site confirms. Rule pack values are a starting point, not legal advice; your site confirms each one against its emergency plan and the law where it operates.
- The explosives and chemicals registers are records only. The Service never authorises anyone to store, issue, use or fire explosives, and never decides that a store or a quantity complies.
- Deciding whether a team enters, a site is capable or a plan is adequate remains your site’s responsibility under its own procedures.
